Meet The Committee

The management committee is a friendly group of volunteers who give their time freely to look after the hall for the whole community. They meet regularly to keep everything running smoothly by managing bookings, overseeing finances, planning improvements, and making sure the building stays safe, clean and welcoming. Members also help organise events, respond to enquiries, listen to feedback, and support local groups that use the space. From paperwork to practical jobs like setting up rooms or checking equipment, everyone lends a hand where needed. Their shared aim is simply to keep the hall active, affordable and enjoyable for everyone who walks through the door.

Chairman

The Chairman leads the management committee and helps guide the overall direction of the hall. He chairs meetings, sets agendas and keeps discussions organised so decisions are made clearly. He supports good governance, oversees policies and compliance, and works with committee members to plan improvements and priorities. They also represents the hall in the community and liaises with partners and users.

Treasurer

The Treasurer oversees the hall’s finances. They manage income and payments, monitor budgets and banking, and help ensure proper procedures are followed. They prepare financial reports for the committee, maintain accounting records and audit information, and support funding and grant administration where required. They also support the committee so the hall remains financially secure and compliant as a charity.

Brookings Manager

The Bookings Manager is the main contact for the hall. They manage the bookings, confirm details and arrange access, and organise show-rounds for prospective hirers. They handle payments and routine administration, prepare hire paperwork, and liaise with the committee and support roles to coordinate operational arrangements. Their role helps ensure bookings are properly planned and that use of the hall runs smoothly.

Facilities & Technical Support

Facilities & Technical Support looks after the upkeep of the hall and its equipment. They carry out routine checks, basic repairs and safety inspections, and help set up essential facilities when needed. They manage the heating and cooling to keep the hall comfortable for hirers, monitor lighting and utilities, and assist with practical issues so activities run without disruption.

Operations & Comms Support

Ops & Coms helps with the day-to-day running alongside the online presence and public information. They keep the website and booking system up to date, share news and events, respond to enquiries, and support practical arrangements where needed. Their role helps bookings run smoothly and ensures visitors can easily find the information they need.

The committee support play an important part in the committee. They attend meetings, contribute to discussions and help shape decisions that guide how the hall operates and improves. They support planning, projects, events and activities. Committee members also help identify needs and opportunities, offer feedback and ideas, and provide practical support where required to help ensure the hall remains well organised.

Our members attend meetings, contribute to discussions relating to the Village Hall, and take part in events when required. They support with small tasks or projects, and help represent the interests of hall users. They may also help with , sharing feedback, promote activities, and support the smooth running of events to keep the hall connected within the community, welcoming to visitors and well supported by local residents of the village.
